Strength

I know, I know. This is definitely not the most fashionable outfit, but it is my workout clothes. My workout aka Crossfit is what has and is keeping me sane these days. I am definitely a person that forgives easily, but I am still angry. I know I have hurt people in the past and maybe this is my karma, but I sort of just don't understand how things in my life got to the point that they did. How could someone I cared so much about betray me? This week has been hard, to say the least, but Crossfit has definitely kept me feeling strong. I have realized more and more how much it translates into my life; the pain, the frustration, the success, the strength...it's really incredible. My strength in the gym really translates into the strength I have in my life....

I swear I will be back with an outfit post tomorrow! Thanks for listening :) Real life people have real life problems.

Struggle and Smile

In this picture, I look happy. And I am. My outfit is simple and relaxed, my smile is not forced, everything around me is beautiful. Right now, it's difficult to imagine that this was just a little over 2 weeks ago. It's weird to think how much has happened and changed. One problem I have always had with bloggers is that it always seems like their lives are perfect...and maybe they are, but I doubt that. I want to follow and see real people, so I feel like I can relate to them. I want to be a fashion blogger and a real person. I refuse to hide my ups and downs. Anyways, I am slightly broken...for the first time in my life, my heart has been tampered with. Yes, I am lucky it is only the first time. Everyone says it will happen again and again. Great. How to start healing? I have no idea, but I will figure it out. But for now, one day at a time. Of course with a smile on my face :)

Hope Everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend!! I did some working, eating, ran some errands and spent a little bit of time at the beach and hanging out with my best friend. To say some of the events of the weekend were interesting is to seriously underestimate it. I thought I was going to take a break from this blog to figure out things in my life, but this is part of my life and I need to stay true to myself even if I am going through some tough things. :) So...you're stuck with me! Army Green

I think this may be one of 2 or 3 things I own in this green color. For some reason I have always shyed away from it...maybe because I feel like I do like less feminine in it, but that doesn't really make sense, so maybe I just need to buy it more.....

Boy do I look tan in these photos, it kind of freaks me out a bit. Tan and Blonde. Please someone tell me how I could possibly fit in in New York? Take me to San Diego please. Anyways, now I will just sit here dreaming of beaches and the Pacific Ocean waiting for 3pm to roll around so I can take advantage of my 3 day weekend....

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!

I took off a week from Crossfit, but I am finally back in the gym and it feels amazing, so I figured I would share some of my current inspiration and excitement with you. It really is amazing to me the difference I feel since I have been doing Crossfit and taking care of my body; I'm not sure if you can tell, but I feel more comfortable and confident in my clothes and in my outfit posts. People may not be able to tell how hard I work underneath a sweater and pants, but I can feel it and that's all that matters. Feeling strong physically really is linked so much to me feeling strong mentally. If I can deadlift 200+lbs, then why can't I make it through a difficult time in my life? Stay strong, ladies... :)

Some Comfort and Some Ruffles

It's funny because I've never been much of a ruffle kind of girl, but shirts like this really get me. A t-shirt with a slight feminine touch is exactly what I need sometimes. I also think that I have probably worn this scarf 5 too many times since I bought it a couple of weeks ago. Weirdly fell in love with the little birds and the pale pink color.

Anyways, as per usual, it is raining again in New York today, but I really feel like since I have been back from vacation I have still been able to make the best of my days. Finally got back to Crossfit last night and I feel better than ever. I think that may call for a fitness post tomorrow! Any Requests? Ciao!

Birthday Suit

Good (Monday) Morning! It's only been a week since my birthday, but these pictures feel like months ago. This dress is a little on the sexy side...or maybe a lot on the sexy side, but I figured I was in Mexico on my birthday I could dress however I felt. Sometimes it's fun to let out your slutty side, without actually being a slut....

Anyways, my birthday was wonderful (I am 23!). We had a delicious breakfast, then spent the day at this awesome beach club, Canibal Royale, off the resort. I ate a tone and had cake at every meal! We ended the night with a delicious meal at the fancy, bougie, restaurant on the resort, Passion and came back to the room with a wonderful surprise! All in all, definitely a better birthday than I could have asked for! :)

Color Galore

It's Friday! I can't believe I have been home from vacation for 3 days already; definitely a long three days. As you can tell, I went for lots of color and short skirts (my favorite) when I was away; I love the way this dress falls and it is so comfortable. The night I wore this we had some delicious hibachi and then drank the night away with some friends we made on the resort. This cool hippo slide is part of the family side of the resort; I absolutely loved that they have the side for adults only, but also have this for everyone to use. Oh boy do I get nostalgic just thinking about this trip....Buenas Dias, mi amigos!

Welcome to Paradise

Hola!...Oh, you know, just pretending like I'm still in this beautiful place called Paradise. These are some pictures of my outfit from the first night we were there, standing in front of this beautiful pool; the lighting at night is incredible. I will actually have a few outfit posts from Mexico this week, but I'll tell you a little bit about the trip now.

We stayed at Paradisus in Playa del Carmen (recently opened in November) and it was absolutely gorgeous. This first night we went to their restaurant, La Palapa and had scallops and Seafood Risotto and Lamb Chops! So yummy. All of the food was incredible!

And of course we took these nights as opportunity to get all dolled up, which obviously means me wearing orange lipstick...duh. Thank god for some photo editing too, giant pimples dont look great in paradise... :)

Back to Reality

Hello! Excuse my absence for the last week, I was busy celebrating Mike's birthday, then heading off to Mexico and celebrating my 23rd birthday.
