 AND we made it to Friday! Hopefully the cold weather this week will have had it's time and just be along it's way (seriously, I thought we weren't having winter this year...). I wasn't ready to pull out thick sweaters again, but I guess we did need the rain so that my allergies would leave me alone for a little while. Now all I can think about is how in two weeks I will be in sunny Mexico, my first time to Mexico and to a resort, I am dying for some adventure. It's been way  too long! This weekend is going to be packed with family time, crossfit and work.  Cheers to the weekend, baby!

Hurricane

Hello Hello! Today is cold and its hard to imagine that I wore this skirt like 4 or 5 days ago..wore this outfit out to dinner at one my favorite restaurants, The Bayou (in Mount Vernon, NY) where I spent the whole night talking, laughing, eating good food and drinking their drink called "the Hurricane" which was absolutely delicious! Such a great way to start a great weekend that also included me buying a bike (yes, in this outfit, which made it a little difficult to try them out! haha ;)

Maxi Maybe

My first (and maybe only) attempt at wearing a maxi skirt. I've done the dresses before, but I'm just not sure about how this falls on my body. I am so used to showing my legs that I even felt a little uncomfortable in this outfit to be honest. It was definitely a big fashion risk for me and all in all I am glad I took it. Gotta try everything once right?

Good Morning! Hope Everyone had a great weekend :) I had a pretty decent one; got to have some delicious food and drinks Friday night followed by purchasing a bike Saturday morning(yea, very random considering I am scared to ride a bike...), and then two busy days of work and crossfit. All in all, a nice break from the corporate work week filled with laughter, silliness and relaxation. Let's all hope when I get this bike in 3 weeks that I can overcome the fear I have because you know how good bike riding is for your butt...haha....

Summer Lovin'

In 3, yes three, weeks from tomorrow I will be on my way to Paradisus in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico (see first picture below!!) and what makes it even more exciting is I will be there for my birthday! It feels like I have 3 weeks to get ready for summer, I bought some new shorts, bathing suits and shoes, but not only do I need to make sure I have all my wears, but I am craving that summer mindset of warmth and carlessness and the beach..oh, the beach. I could live on a beach with nothing but a couple bathing suits and food of course, for the rest of my life. It's weird that growing up in New York, I feel most at home and at peace at the beach....
  Anyways, I created a board on pinterest to help me get in the mindset and to help me pack (I am not good at choosing outfits for 5 days in advance, like actually awful at it....) Check out some of my main inspirations :) Get ready for me summer!

Tired is the New Black

I know, maybe my title of this post is a little bit of a rough attempt at being funny, but damn maybe I should stop taking my photos at 6am because I look so tired in all of them! Maybe I should start wearing some makeup!

Anyways, I have been living in this sweater (above), it is huge and super comfortable. Like a giant blanket disguised as a cute cardigan, made just for me, just so I can get away with wearing a blanket in public. What do you think? Sounds about right?

Colorblocking Brights

 Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening, whatever time it is where you are! Even though I have pretty bad allergies, it feels good to feel some warm weather and to be able to break out some bright spring colors. Colorblocking has become a huge trend this past year and this one of my first times experimenting with it. Since I went for really bright colors for my skirt and top, I figured that I should throw in some brown boots to ground the outfit and balance it out a little bit with the sweater. I wore this out to dinner the other night; it was perfect for when the sun went down and it got a little too chilly to have fully bare legs. I am so ready to try more of this out as the spring and summer comes!

Queen of Complaining

 This picture above, which looks like I am in pain, pretty much describes my weekend. Sick. I think there are few things worse than being sick when the weather is beautiful, oh and when you still have to go to work. Luckily D.O.C.S exists and is open on Sundays and I got some antibiotics that I can already feel kicking in. Boy am I sick of waking up with a pounding headache! Anyways, before I complain anymore, I am excited for this week and the weather we are supposed to have here in NY. Being stuck in the office is not going to be fun, but I will take a sunny day any day no matter where I am.

P.S say Happy Birthday to the best dog EVER, Gabby! He's been gone for about a year now but still the best dog hands down!

Disclaimer: I am not sure why I am posting the outfit witht the purple top because it is horribly put together, but I do like to be honest about what I wear on a daily basis...so there it is...I do love the simplicity of the second outfit though...

Anyways, this week has been filled with fun times with friends (sushi and silly shopping), lots of work, exercise and relaxing (late nights filled with 90210 and Mad Men); it's flown by and warmer weather is quickly approaching. As you can tell, I have been trying to get in my boots before it's too warm to wear them! Soon enough I will be complaining about the temperature in Manhattan and how I wish I were at the beach! :)
