 I'm not sure why, but I feel like I look like a little girl in these pictures/outfit. Most of the time I think I look about or a little older than my age (22), but in this I feel innocent and sweet. Totally not me...hahah

This week is definitely getting better and I am more than ecstatic that it's Friday, especially since I don't have to waitress both days this weekend. Good to know I have Friday and Saturday night to do whatever I want. Maybe one good nights sleep will come out of all of this :) I have a new little adventure planned....excited to get the ball rolling.

 This week has been really tough. One of my closest friends passed away and the last thing on my mind was updating my blog. My friend, Tyler, was one of the most amazing, happy and caring people I have ever met. He lived life with a positive attitude and it exuded from him every single moment. His goofy smile is something I will keep with me forever. What I am going to take away from all of this is that positive attitude, I want to live life carefree and how I WANT to live it. He always did. :)

I wore this dress to a High School Fashion Show with my Mom on Sunday (with a sweater over it!) and then to Tyler's wake. Please keep me, and all of his friends and family in your prayers.

Oh how wonderful this weather has been. It feels so good to be able to not wear tights (I can eat whatever I want and not worry about something getting tight! hahah)...

This dress was such an amazing buy, perfect for work and it fits SO well. Especially with my new crossfit body...watch out.

Can't wait for some deadlifts, box jumps and push-ups tonight :)!

All over the Place

 I feel like this post is a symbol of my life: all over the place. Me physically, my emotions, everything..mess. I need to start picking up the pieces and put them in the right places. My little brother said some really great things to me yesterday that really made me think (Sorry, Alex...I am totally making you the star of this post!)

In wonderful text grammar, he told me, "you just need to have your eye on something and go get it...Don't let someone tell you how hard it is, if you want it you can get it. And don't change your mind bc someone else wants you to...You choose, it's your life" and then proceeded to tell me..."It's not too late to take a leap, you're still young...Don't let opportunity slip away"

19 year old genius? I think so.

Random and Happy

 Happy Monday! I am so excited for all of the beautiful weather we are supposed to have this week. I love not having to wear tights, although yesterday I did, just in case it got chilly at night. These H&M dresses are my favorite,  so lightweight, short like I like them and they come in all different sleeve lengths and colors. I also figured I needed to get in my fur-ish  vest before the warm weather is in full force!

On another random note, I cannot believe how long my hair has gotten! I am so excited about this, it's kind of weird, but then again, I am kind of weird. Or as the fake Will Smith and I like to say, I am limited edition.

Spring into Flats

I like to tell myself that I am going to wear heels to work all the time, but clearly I am lying to myself. I think I have worn them twice in the past month, which is why I have decided to invest in a few more pairs of flats. There are tons of cute flats out there, but I mainly look for comfort. If I am going to be walking all day in flats nonetheless, they better as hell be comfortable. This weekend I bought a pair of zebra print ones with a red trim that I love! Now I am on the hunt for some more; here's what's on my wishlist! Any suggestions are welcome!

Makes me laugh

#1: I look like I am in pain in this picture

#2: I hate this shirt, but for some reason I keep it in my closet and I apparently continue to wear it

#3: I actually do love how the suede leggings look with these boots though.

#4: Suede leggings are super warm. Go to H&M and get some. 15 bucks

#5: It is freezing in NY today and it's going to be 60 degrees tomorrow. I am confused.

#6: I CANNOT wait for crossfit tonight. I think I am addicted.

Chaos

I usually don't start off the week with an "inspirational" post, but I am feeling very motivated and inspired today. I love this quote because it puts your hard times into perspective. If I look back and see the points in my life when I was at my lowest of my lows, and then look at what happened when that period was over, it is usually some significant, what you may call great, event in my life. 2010-2011 transition was pretty rough for me and I feel like some of the best things in my life have come out of it, whether it be in the workplace, finishing school, forming new relationships, which for the first time includes one with myself. When you are deep into that hard time, it is difficult to think that something great can come out of it, but be patient and have faith. Great things are coming your way!
