Italian Coat

Every single time I put on this coat, I get happy. My eyes light up, my mood peaks and I feel sexy and confident all at once. This feeling is something I often use to to decide whether I actually want to purchase an item. I most definitely do not dress for other people and to look how they want me to look, I dress to how I feel. I think this transition happened at some point in college and I felt my self taking more risks and putting things together I never thought that I would.  It's a sort of confidence that comes over you---you might be thinking "Seriously, from a coat?" and yes, it's true. Before I started this blog, I thought of fashion as clothes and money and designers, but it is so much more than that. It is a strand of every person's personality, a telling into who they are and how they are feeling each and every day. What does your style say about your personality!

Fridays de moi

This past week has been more busy that I can imagine; I have had zero time to actually get a start on my final exams. Sometimes you have to sacrifice and manage your time to make a difference on a college campus. Although the weather has definitely gotten better (3 days over 70 degrees F), my allergies just keep getting worse. You can tell in most of these photos of me: either I am wearing my glasses or I just look stuffed up. I always forget why I have never been a spring person until my allergies come back full blown ready to attack. Tonight, though, I shall counteract them and dress up in my new dress to go to our Chrysalis Ball where CCR is playing. Worth it? YES.

Last 3 days to enter my first giveaway from the vintage store, Wilson&Ross!

Leathered Flowers

I can't believe these photos were taken over a month ago and we could actually survive outside without heavy jackets. The sun is back and strong (I even got a tan yesterday!) Anyways, I love this look I put together for Kelsey: such a balance and contrast of rough leather, feminine flowers, and pops of color. Normally I wouldn't think to put all of these things together in one outfit, but it felt right for this perfect weather we experienced in mid-march. What do you think of this mixture?

How would you style leather leggings?

And don't forget to enter my giveaway! Ends on Sunday!!

Warmth.

So I have definitely slacked at keeping my outfits matching the days I am speaking of. The life of a college senior right before final exams is full of emotions: frustration that I still have to care about my grades, lack of motivation to finish, determination to end it all well, and just the urge to get the heck out of here. I'm not sure which is the strongest, but I have focused immensely on living day by day, enjoying the moments I have with the people I will miss and making time for the people I am going home to. Life has become more and more precious to me as experiences pile up and how could I not enjoy every moment, breath in the warm air that has finally taken over Central PA, enjoy the scenery before I head back to city-life. Capture moments and feelings and my style as it evolves with the changing of the seasons. Life really can be poetic, my darlings.

So here's a look into the last week of my life.

It's Sprung

Yes, I'm talking about Spring. Yesterday was over 70 degrees and absolutely beautiful. The sun was shining, the wind blowing. My allergies were overwhelming and don't seem to want to hold back; I can barely open my eyes, but luckily my wardrobe can still enjoy the weather. I purchased my first fedora a couple of weeks ago and now I can't wait to pick up a few more hats for this summer. They add the perfect touch to every outfit. Adding a big floppy hat to my closet will remind me of summer ads in every magazine and of day dreams of lying on a beach in Spain.

Well, that's all. Enter this giveaway soon my lovely readers!

Easter

Easter. My first one away from family. It was more lonely than I thought it would be, but luckily homework kept me pretty busy. I have been buried in schoolwork, considering I am graduating college in 4 weeks. Kind of unbelievable, but I am definitely ready to move on to the next stage of my life. I need new surroundings and new people and new experiences. Need to shed some of my skin and feel fresh. Reinvent those parts of me I want to shed. At the same time, I feel as if I have already started. Even this outfit represents that to me. I take some risks in my choices now, I actually try and express myself and my feelings through my style. I think it's working.

Oh. and (completely off topic) don't forget to enter to win this gorgeous Wilson&Ross Vintage cuff here
